VG 7070F GC-MS in the Science Museum Manchester Very early model.
Called 7070 because the magnetic and electrostatic sectors had a radius of 70cm. Nothing to do with the standard EI energy of 70eV.
Left are the control electronics and power supplies, right is the flight tube with ion source, electrostatic and magnetic sectors. I used to install these. Later I spent my time updating them (FAB, LC-MS, Extended geometry etc.) and training customers in their use.
Contrary to info on the Museum site, there is no data system in the exhibit. Early machines used the UV-Recorder to acquire data, later a system with PDP-8 computers was used. Followed by PDP-11s.

Disclaimer
Sadly the Mass Spectrometers I was involved in installing and later modifying are generally no longer running, but their replacements are often featured in the brochures of institutes and other facilities
